Barcelona animals

Often hidden in sculptures, facades, fountains and lanterns, in our city there are hundreds of representations of animals that testify to the close relationship between art and animals. Així doncs, today I want to write about “The artistic fauna of Barcelona”. The first stage of the educational course at the French School and then continued his training graphic artist at the Massana School and at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona, while working as an apprentice in his father's print shop.

El 1967 they moved to Paris where he continues his apprenticeship at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, later collaborated with the Polish sculptor Piotr Kowalski. In Paris in May 1968 working on posters for the movement of workers and students. After he returned to Spain until 1972 who moves to Chicago, two years later it fixed his residence in New York

Carlos José Rolando, (Rosario, Argentina, 1933 – Barcelona, 2016)

He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL) Santa Fe as support for their aspirations Designer. Arranged with other studies on painting, photography, typography, design and economy.

He served as art director in publishing and design agency and then 1967 moved to Barcelona where he permanently fix his residence from where he contributed to the renovation of design in Catalonia.

Emilio Freixas Aranguren

Emilio Freixas Aranguren (Barcelona, 1899 – 1976), drawing escenòfrag, illustrator.
It stands out not only as an artist, scenographer, illustrator but he is, considered a pioneer of comics in Spain. Also he has recognized his outstanding work as a drawing teacher. Since childhood he showed great talent for drawing. He was student of the painter Emilio Casals, (Barcelona 1843 – 1928). His great skill and ease for drawing led him to work in the factories of stage designers and Bullbena Girbal, as a set designer and decorator for more than a decade. From his youth draws tirelessly posters, advertising vignettes, is recognized as a master in the specialty.
